My name is Anneke (UH-nuh-kuh) and I am a coach. I have corporate experience as a clinical director and supervisor, as well as clinical experience as a behavior analyst (more on that below).
I'm based out of Pittsburgh, PA, although I work with people all over the globe via phone or video conferencing. I specialize in professionals with ADHD, autism, or related neurodivergent labels.
I have been diagnosed with ADHD, as well as depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
I am a fat, bisexual, cisgender woman.
I devoted myself heart and soul to a field that ended up burning me out completely.
I've had my fair share of dark moments. And I know you have too.
I offer coaching to neurodivergent people, and the people who love them, to shed light in those dark spaces.
I embrace who you are, fully and without reservation.
I want what you want.
So tell me:
What do you want?
I graduated from Brown University in 2015 with a double major in Linguistics and Education (Child Development). I knew from my freshman year that I wanted to work with autistic individuals, and all the research down that path led me to getting my Master's in Behavior Analysis from Simmons College in 2018.
Having worked in the behavior analytic field since 2015, I can say with confidence that it is no longer for me. The ethical issues inherent in the field, at least the way it's practiced and propagated within the US currently, have discouraged me beyond my efforts to change them. Suffice to say I appreciate all of the experiences I have been given, and am not interested in pursuing those specific experiences further. I am always open to answering questions and discussing my personal philosophies on the matter. I wrote an article about my experience in the field which you can read here.
I am becoming a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) certified by the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI). To learn more about this certification, you can check out this link to the CTI website. The requirements for that certification involve a six-month intensive course.
